ARTISTIC PROCESS

My artistic work is a journey that explores the boundaries between dream and memory, highlighting the profound connection between humanity and nature.

Through the use of photomontage, I blend images of different origins from various times and places, creating narratives suspended in time. I combine digital photography, archival material, and computer-generated images, occasionally harnessing artificial intelligence systems.

Through in-depth study and experimentation with hybrid printing techniques, I merge modern digital technologies with traditional and alternative analog processes, seeking synergy between past, present, and future. This approach allows me to create works that invite viewers to reflect on our relationship with time, images, and the ecosystem in which we live.

PRINTS

My works are made with modern inkjet pigment printing techniques or various analogue processes. The use of combinations of professional inks, fine papers and appropriate conservation media and steps ensures my works have a long life span over time. I print my works strictly in limited numbered editions and always associated with a certificate of authenticity. Depending on the project they are part of, my images exist in various formats ranging from 20×30 cm up to 250 cm in length.

Some editions, such as the The Moon and Bamboo project, are printed on Japanese washi paper, precious supports handmade by Awagami craftsmen. Papers were created with traditional techniques but adapted to be used with the most modern inkjet printing techniques.

In the last period I also started experimenting with alternative printing techniques, those prior to the processes with silver salts such as cyanotype and salt paper. I find these techniques fascinating to apply to my next projects, to make my images travel back and forth from analog to digital.

My recent Deep Blue project, generated using artificial intelligence tools, is printed using the cyanotype, a nineteenth-century photographic technique.
